    Post Mail Queue Manager

    Hi,

I sent a newsletter (to 15000 users) , when I'm looking into the Mail Queue Manager I can see this message :
There are currently 2 messages in the mail queue.
    1Pi1LD-0006Sd-At

when I click on the link : Attempt to Deliver all messages in queue

    I have the message :
    Delivering All Messages in Queue
    LOG: queue_run MAIN
    Start queue run: pid=26694
delivering 1Pi1LD-0006Sd-At (queue run pid 26694)
    LOG: skip_delivery MAIN
Spool file is locked (another process is handling this message)
delivering 1Pi1LS-0006TK-MM (queue run pid 26694)
    LOG: skip_delivery MAIN
Spool file is locked (another process is handling this message)
    LOG: queue_run MAIN
    End queue run: pid=26694
    Complete.

My question is : Is it normal because all emails haven't been send yet ? or must I kill an exim process ?
I don't know what to do.
    Thank you for you answer.

    Fred

    Hello Fred,

Is this issue still happening? The message might be locked or frozen.

Have you looked at the messages that are not still in the queue to see the contents? Of note, only two messages in the queue is pretty low, so they might simply be bounces or unable to deliver, and would then eventually fail after the timeout is reached for the retry timeout.

    Thanks.

queue run pid 27993 means the that process number is 27993 and does not indicate the number of emails. On Linux and FreeBSD, each process on the system has a process number called PID and these increment upwards. The number of emails in the queue should readily show when you visit WHM's Mail Queue Manager to know how many are there.

As for the email, it appears to have completed and I don't see any errors.
