Hi

Hope someone can help.. We are in the middle of migrating clients to Cpanel servers. All going well.

One client is having problems where they can check email once, and then anytime after the first check the following error is given in the server log (and the clients email client just times out):

pop3-login: Disconnected: Inactivity (disconnected while authenticating)

So when they turn the machine on and load thunderbird, it will check their email (18 accounts) perfectly well. Then 10 minutes later they hit GET MAIL again to check for new email, and it just tiems out with the above in our error log for their connection..

If they close down and then load up again, they can again check email once, before the errors occur again.

Anyone have any ideas why this is happening? Was fine on our old Ensim servers..

It sounds as though TB is trying to check mail without re-authenticating again. I can't see this as default functionality, so you may want to check their settings.

You can also increase the "Time to cache successful logins" value in Mailserver Configuration in the WHM if that is your desire.
