Default Out of Office Email Responses?

    Hi there,

I have a virtual server running WHM and cPanel. One of my clients has their website in one of these accounts and they also run their emails from this, downloading them to Outlook.

The client has just asked, is it possible for them to setup server-based Out of Office messages, maybe via one of the webmails?

    Thanks,

    Stephen

You might check the tools under the Auto Responder icon in your cPanel:

You can use autoresponders to send a message back automatically to anyone who sends an email to a certain account. This can be useful for times when you are on vacation or unavailable, or if you have a generic message that you wish to send for a support email address.

Thanks for this, though I was hoping there might be a more client friendly way of doing this than via auto-responders in cPanel? Ideally, I guess this feature might have been possible via one of the webmails but I couldn't (and still can't) find anything.

    Thanks.

Please take a moment, set one up and send an email to it from somewhere else. The webmails (Horde and RoundCube) will respond as you wish I believe.

I just wanted to clarify, the auto-responder feature is available via both cPanel and Webmail access methods. The e-mail account user should also have access to adding an auto-responder while logged-into webmail; for example, after logging-into webmail, they could click the icon labeled "Auto Responders" and proceed to setup their desired configuration of automatic responses.

Here is our available documentation that details how to use this feature; the following link could also be provided to your clients (if needed):
    Auto Responders (Autoresponders)
