    Default Relay mail server configuration

    Hi All:
I am strongly considering switching from using H-sphere which we used for years. Our customer's main concern is that we continue providing rock solid email. Most use MS SBS and its exchange pop3 connector to download mail from us every 15 minutes. Any know problems with this?

Also, to insure we don't miss mail I would like to set up a relay mail server. I am under the impression that a good spam defense is to only accept mail for real mail boxes. How would I set up a relay server so that it knows what are valid mailboxes in cpanel. Is there a database that can be accessed or some other system?

    Thanks!

cPanel mailserver setup is quite nice and it allows you to configure the mailserver to accept the emails only for REAL mailboxes and the mailserver will not even accept the emails for the unknown mailboxes or unknown emails.

Default How would you set relay mail server?

    Hi:
Thanks for info. But how would you set a relay mail server to also not accept mail for nonexistant mailboxes?

WHM Mail functions are explained here: http://www.cpanel.net/docs/whm/Tweak_Settings.htm
I also suggest you browse the cPanel/WHM documentations and FAQ at: http://www.cpanel.net/support/docs/index.htm
