I have noticed that the initial login to Roundcube is slow -- slower than both SquirrelMail and Horde. I am on broadband (cable/5 meg) and no other websites nor server operations are slow. Is this normal? Will this improve?

I have also noticed that the first time a user logs in to their email account on RoundCube, they end up getting blocked by CSF because they are causing a number of login failures:

Log entries:

The same thing happened to me when I logged in to RoundCube the first time, only fortunately my IP address was whitelisted (*WHEW!*) or I would have been locked out of the box ........

There are no errors written to the screen, they all seem to occur under the hood, and obviously the login resolves itself eventually because the RC main page does load. I wonder if this is contributing to the delay/slowness in loading?

Once I am logged in, it is speedy.
