I think this might be a permissions problem. First server we have hjad this problem with. Any email created on this server under any domain fails to work. In outlook express it continually asks for username and password, but we put the correct ones. Logs show the following..
Dec 11 22:02:14 atlantic pop3d: LOGIN FAILED, user=xxxx@xxxxx.com, ip=[::ffff:xx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
Dec 11 22:10:39 atlantic pop3d: LOGIN FAILED, user=xxxx@xxxxx.com, ip=[::ffff:xx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
Dec 11 22:11:44 atlantic pop3d: LOGIN FAILED, user=xxxx@xxxxx.com, ip=[::ffff:xx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
Obviously I x'd out info for privacy. So server is seeing the connections, but is denying them. So I wonder if when the email is created, if there is a permission problem somewhere preventing data such as password from being written. Anyone care to share ideas or light on this problem?
