Shared SSL & IMAPS

Hi All,

Trying to connect to POP/IMAP securely will generate the certificate warning everytime as its just using the default cPanel SSL for IMAP\POP. The shared SSL certificate for the server is not installed on the hostname itself which seems to be causing the problem.

Using OE and was able to accept the cert in IE by going to https://hostname:465 but it seems that this doesn't cover 993\995.

Any insight on how to get this cert accept on a perm basis?

If you have a purchased SSL certificate for the hostname, you should be able to go to WHM > Manage Service SSL Certificates and install that purchased certificate for all services (exim, dovecot or courier, FTP and cPanel/WHM/Webmail). Once installed, ensure to using the incoming and outgoing server name for mail as the hostname for the machine in your email client.
