SMTP on port 465 with ASSP

Has anyone had any success with running SMTP on port 465. There's a guide in Tweaking ASSP deluxe for cPanel and I followed to the end, but I can't connect to port 465 from outside and my services is showing Fail for exim on port 465. Firewall ports are open both ways.

I have the same problem and their support is telling me it's our firewall when we don't have one for this environment. So I can't find an answer and I actually contacted their support. Very Frustrating. Seems like they are always deflecting when I try to contact there support instead of helping. Found one really good support tech but he works the night shift.
