SPF and DomainKeys Assitance Needed

Hi all,

I have been researching this for too long. I would like somebody to walk me through the process of setting up SPF and DomainKeys on my WHM/cPanel server. I have root access. Here is the tricky part, here is how my server is set up, I am using this for my newsletter server. newsletter.realityislove.info is my server's main hostname. All DNS is hosted at godaddy.com. Bartending.com's A and MX records point to register.com Newsletter.bartending.com points to my server at newsletter.realityislove.info . To get newsletter.bartending.com in to my cpanel, I added the domain bartending.com, and then added a subdomain newsletter.bartending.com.

I ran the
/usr/local/cpanel/bin/domain_keys_installer myusername
script. But that didn't seem to change anything.

I would like to know the following:
How do I enable domainkeys?
How do I enable SPF?
What records do I have to add to GoDaddy's DNS for bartending.com and/or realityislove.info?

It should be as easy as going to your cPanel account, Click the Email Authentication icon > Click the 2 buttons there titled Enable. You may want to go over the settings below that for whatever else you find is needed.

Infopro is correct; I concur and recommend that using the E-mail Authentication feature in cPanel to setup SPF and DomainKeys is the best way forward.

Hi,

You can install the SPF & Domain Keys as follows,

/usr/local/cpanel/bin/domain_keys_installer username

/usr/local/cpanel/bin/spf_installer username

Once you execute these scripts, the TXT record will be added to the zone file at /var/named/domainaname.com.db . You will need to add the exact TXT records in your DNS zone files @ your name servers (Godaddy).
