Using another email host other than Cpnael, DNS issue

I have a customer that has their own custom hosting for email, thats fine, I even know the DNS hostname, i just don't know what to put in the Cpanel DNS to allow the routing out of the server to their email server

Every mx entry i put, it always tries to end it with the domain name? How do I change to it to resolve correctly. Go daddy hosts the DNS records, so I am having a hard time configuring my local DNS settings.

Assuming you already know of the tool for this in your cPanel > Mail > MX Entry

Thanks I was trying to edit the DNS zones but my guess i was not doing that correctly. This way is so much simpler
