Unhappy Using Google Apps. Cannot receive email

I have decided to try out Google Apps for my email and modified the DNS configuration for my domain (in WHM) so that my MX records point to google's servers.

Everything seems to be configured fine, however I cannot send emails to my email account. Each one is being bounced with the following message:

<info@domain.com>: host domain.com[xx.xx.xx.xx] said:
sender-something.net (mail.sender.com) [yy.yy.yy.yy] is
550-currently not permitted to relay through this server. Perhaps you have
not 550-logged into the pop/imap server in the last 30 minutes or do not
have SMTP 550 Authentication turned on in your email client. (in reply to
RCPT TO command)

So as of right now, no emails are going through. I could revert back to receiving email on my local server, but I would really like to take advantage of the space and convenience of Google Apps for email.

Has anyone else experienced this? Can someone point me to a solution? I have looked around the Google help as well, but found nothing.

Thanks. I did lots of searching and reading before posting. Google Apps relay returns only this thread.

We have our MX setup at the domain level so it doesn't go through the cPanel server.

One or two things you can do. Either stick your domain into /etc/remotedomains, or point your MX record within the cPanel interface for the domain to aspmx.l.google.com (which in effect does the /etc/remotedomains configuration for you).
