webmail and pages on different servers?

Hi,
I wonder, if there is a solution for the following problem:
A client wants his domain redirected to "server 2" but the mail-accounts should remain on "server 1".

My idea was to change the A-entry to the new location (server 2) - but how can I configure the DNS-zone-file so that the mailaccounts are still accessible online?

..just for the records: I think I found a solution - seems to work as follows:

I changed the records in the DNS-zone-file as follows:

domain.com. 14400 IN A XX.XXX.XX.XXX (=IP of remote server)
(...)
domain.com. 14400 IN MX 0 server1.myserver.com. (=local server)


With this it is possible to use webmail as before through http://domain.com/webmail

Another addendum:

To be able to fetch mail with eg outlook, one has to change the mail-entry too:

mail 14400 IN CNAME server1.myserver.com. (=local server)


in the mail-client use as mailserver: mail.domain.com
