    Default 403 Forbidden Error problem! :s

    Hey two days ago some one hacked my site.. i upload my backup but i have problem with 403 forbidden error

    When i will write this link on my firefox
    www.dt-gaming.net/gunner/contract.jpg the link can't open it
    and my site www.dt-gaming.net working fine but the folders on public_html don't.
    I don't know how to fix that error if any one knews please help me what i have to do ?

    You could check the permissions on this file to make sure it is world readable. You might do better to ask your host to see if they can help.

    Make sure your directories under public_html have 777 permission ( rwx for owner, group and others).

    Default Check Folder permission

    If the file permission is 644 or more than that then Pls make sure that all the folder under public_html have 755 permission. The folder permissions are wrong there thats why you are facing this problem.

    Check your error log - that will tell you exactly why you are getting the 403.

    I had a problem recently with a site getting 403's on everything and it turned out the .htaccess folder in their ftp root was corrupt.

    I'd wasted lots of time checking permissions on the home directory public_html and their files when a quick look at the error log showed that the htaccess folder couldnt be read. I deleted it and that resolved the issue.
