    Default Advice Needed

I host 30 or so customers (web design) and was backing up all the accounts to my server in the office, however in an effort to cut costs i will be moving my office to home. I us a backup.php with cron and back up all my sites daily away from my own 2 servers but my hosts are complaining about the amount of resources i am using so i need advice on the following.

    1. Is there a free high volume low price service i can send backups via ftp.
    2. Anyone now any hosts that will allow this.
    3. Is there any software that i can use to make it easier.

Thanks for your help Mark Holland

While I'm not familiar with the backup you've mentioned, I do something similar using a box at my home for an additional backup.

Instead of ftp'ing, I use rsync-based scripts. Saves a ton on bandwidth.

Have you searched the forums yet? There are/were several threads devoted to this type of thing...

I second the use of http://www.samba.org/rsync/
It's a very fast utility that does not consume too much resources.
Also, if you're not using a dedicated server but hosting from your house, you could try investing in a backup hard drive.

I would also recommend the use of rsync Backup. It works very well.
