backup solction for 2nd HD and to other DC

Hi,

i find the thread http://forums.cpanel.net/f5/backup-script-24533.html,

and it seems it is good,

i hope i can backup on 2nd everyday,

and backup to other DC to protect the data,
if it will not use alot of bandwidth and cpu/ram,everyday is better,or i willbackup onetime a week.

i ask cpanel and they told me the new version cpanel 11.24.5-RELEASE_38506 or 11.24.5-stable_38506 had use it,

but i feel the backup to 2nd hd on 11.24.5-stable_38506 is still very slow.


1. does the way to backup about http://forums.cpanel.net/f5/backup-script-24533.html still work ?

2. do you use cpanel's backup now,and do you think how the speed/performance it is now ?

3. do you recommand any other way to do backup ?

Are you using compressed or uncompressed backups? If you are doing compressed switch to uncompressed and that should help a LOT.

I use the cPanel backups for my personal server and it works fine, then I just rsync it to a remote location.
