    Default Backups: The different types

    Hello:
I have been using cPanel for about 8 months, but I still consider myself a new user. There are a whole lot of things I haven't figured out yet. One is this:

In the Backup Panel, they have a Full Backup and a Home Directory Backup.

But if you backup the home directory, doesn't it automatically backup every single thing in the cPanel, including: your SQL Databases, your public_html which includes your entire website, etc?

Does that mean that the Home Directory Backup and the Full Backup do the same thing?
    If not, what's the difference?

Right now, I back up everything separately, AND do a Full Backup, as well.
    Am I making redundant backups?

    Thanks.

full backup = evrything mysql, conig files, mail setings, etc
home dir backup = just that evrything in your home directory

    over kill to do both

but cpanel users can't restore a full bckup

Even if I'm my own site administrator?

This means I would have to have the web host restore a full backup, right?

If I do separate backups of my home directory, my SQL databases, and my aliases/filters, then I should have everything that's included in a Full Backup, right?

Then I'd have the capability of restoring my entire site myself using cpanel?

    Thanks for your patience.
