Default Cpanel on load Balanced servers

Sorry if this has been asked before.

At the moment we have 1 web server and 1 mysql server running on linux redhat and centos.

We are with UKFast and they are telling us that to install cpanel on our web server now it would require formatting the server and starting from scratch.

    Is this true?

Also they are saying that cpanel will use up alot of system resources and slow down the server.

    Is this true?

And last but not least UKFast have told us that if we purchace another web server to allow load balancing, cpanel will not work on aload balanced solution.

    Is this true?

What would be the easiest set up for cpanel and load balancing over 2 servers?

i need some speal to go back to UKFast and tell them we want "blah blah blah" and that it is posiable.

Any help will be apreciated as while ssh is good for the advanced IT "geek" someone who dosnt know what there doing could realy mess our server up.

    Cheers

    Ash

If you have not yet installed any services like Apache/httpd and the server has no other control panel installed, then you may proceed with an installation of cPanel per our documentation: cPanel Installation Guide

The amount of resources are used depends upon what all software you install and how you configure each application and daemon or service; you may easily obtain a "lean" installation that does not require substantial resources: System Requirements - cPanel Inc.

There are numerous possibilities to use cPanel in a load-balanced or clustered environment; if your preferred service provider does not have a solution I would consider looking elsewhere or to keep searching for a provider that offers a solution: cPanel Partner Search - cPanel Inc. and Services from cPanel Partners - cPanel Forums

The setup involved may differ depending upon the specific solution that is used at a given service provider; I recommend to continue searching and compare your available options. My understanding and professional opinion is that hardware-based clustering or a hardware load-balancing solution may be among the best options to consider.
