daily backup - already up to date?

hey guys, I didn't get my usual backup notification email, and looking at the logs the backups never truly ran!

[cpbackup] Started at Wed Nov 5 01:00:02 2008
[cpbackup] Daily Backup is up to date.
[cpbackup] Completed at Wed Nov 5 01:00:02 2008

Why on earth does the backup script think the backups are up to date? it's supposed to run daily.

any help or ideas as to why it didn't would be greatly appreciated

The reason it thinks they're up-to-date is due to the fact there is already a backup in your dir (daily/weekly/monthly) that you set backups to go to.

What backup settings are you using?

I'm using;

backup interval: daily
rentention: daily, weekly, monthly
days to run: all
re/unmount backup drive: no
bail out if backup drive mount fails: no
incremental: no
backup accounts: yes
backup configs: yes
backup sql: per account + entire dir
backup access logs: no
backup type: standard
backup dir: /backup

and it's been going fine for a while. However the past week, there've been a few days where it hasn't run...

the files with size '135' are days the backup script thought they were already "up to date"

Did you restore any accounts from the daily backup recently or more specifically on the days in question?

We found this problem on one server too. But only on this server, all the others (identical) are ok.

The backup was forced yesterday, and the files on daily folder are from 6/nov/2008, and today, cpbackup didn't run and with the message that "Daily Backup is up to date"
