Default directory with sticky bit set fails backup

    on a virtuemart install
    folder: /administrator/components/com_virtuemart/classes/nusoap
the permissions are set to: d-wxr----t
and the folder owned by that accounts owner

the normal cpanel backup routine fails on these permissions

i am not sure what the sticky bit -t really does; so am not sure if by modifying it to normal folder perms (755) that I am likely to either break nusoap, and compromise it's security.

    anyone know?

    thanks

An explanation of the sticky bit: Sticky bit - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

What error message is generated in the backup when encountering the sticky bitted directory?

    EDIT:
Actually, those permissions appear wrong. The User lacks Read access. This means the User cannot list files and directories in that directory. And would receive errors similar to the following:

    Code:
    mysqlbug@mysqlbugs.com [~/public_html]# ls -l stickied/
    /bin/ls: stickied/: Permission denied
You should be able to fix that with:
    Code:
    chmod u+r folder
