How to backup mais only ?

i was looking in faqs and searched through the forums i could not find anything about mail backup.

so how to make a backup only for mails ?

Hi, it's not possible to backup the emails only of a particular account.
You can backup them manually by copying the 'mail' folder under your username to some specific location..

You could write a PHP script which allowed you to download a .tar.gz of the mail and etc directories from your account. (the etc directory contains the usernames and passwords).

Make sure you put the script under username/password control as otherwise anyone could download your mail.
