Default How to reset password in Cpanel?

My hosting is with Godaddy.com and my hosting space is piggybacking off of two "name servers" of a friend. However, I cannot - for the life of me - remember my cpanel password to my website! How can i go about resetting it? I cannot use programs like SmartFTP to update my site - because I cannot log into the domain. Sorry if this is a totally obvious question - but I'm new...

Moreover, does Cpanel have anything do do with my username and password for Godaddy.com? Or is that a completely different thing? I need help!!!

I think that Go-daddy will have to reset your Password.

I have setup plenty of accounts and I set up a default password, telling my clients to reset it ASAP.

Once they reset your Password, go here and reset it.

    Here is the Lists:

    Site Management
    Backup
    Web Protect
    Change Password
    Custom Error Pages
    Redirects
    Mime Types
    Apache Handlers
    Frontpage Extensions
    Search Engine Submit
    HotLink Protection
    Index Manager
    Ip Deny Manager
    Disk Usage Viewer

    Default i dont get it...

Hmm called Godaddy - and they said they dont even host cpanel. That its a completely unrelated issue - and its more involved with my friends server that im getting my hosting from. So...Oh well. Guess I need to figure that out now.

Call your hosting company and ask them to reset it.

Hello Nochybrid, let me know if you find an answer. Having the same issue here... I have root access to the server, so I'm thinking that I shoud be able to reset or find out the existing logins for cpanel some where...
