Default Import/Expoert WHM & cPanel configuration?

Hi there - I was wondering if it's somehow possible to export and later import the cPanel & WHM settings so they can be conveniently restored in the case of system failure.

Or is there at least a central log file somewhere that keeps track of all the changes made in the setup so that I don't have to take manual notes? Thanks!

Btw. image verification seems to be broken in this forum (no image showing up, at least not for me) so it's currently not possible to register a new account.

With cPanel configuration files, you can typically just copy them to the new server to apply the new configuration. Did you need to know the location of various configuration files?

I just used a web browser I never use to access the forums and I was able to see the reCaptcha image. I recommend you clear your browser cache and see if this issue persists.

Well in the meantime I'm backuping up all (?) my data via WHM - that includes mySQL and account data, as well as the option "backup configuration files". Is there anything else I can do to make sure that moving/disaster recovery is a breeze? I'm especially thinking of all the stuff I do in WHM, like changing the Tweak Settings. Thanks again!

If you configure your backups to backup data locally to /backups then periodically copy the backup to another server, that will ensure you will be backing up nearly all your configuration. I say "nearly" because anything server-specific such as hostname and IP addresses will not be backed up.
