Migrating Domains Using 'Copy an account from another server'

I am migrating domains from

WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.9.0-S9966 RedHat 9 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

to

WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.9.0-S9966 - CentOS 4.3 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

I am using the 'root' account details for both.

I am having 2 issues:

1) The email accounts are being migrated but the email is not. Is there some way I can sync the emails with the server being migrated from?

2) Migrating larger accounts seem to fail. When stating larger I mean over 1GB in total domain size. For example one domain is 5239 M. When using the option 'Copy an account from another server' in the WHM, it appeared to do the backup, transferred the TARs which were split, completed the checksum, and restored the domain. But the directory structure was blank when checking with the temporary URL.

I guess my questions are:

A) Is there a quick fix to sync the emails with the old server prior to updating the DNS?
B) How can I successfuly migrate larger accounts?

Any help will be appreciated as I will once again have to move all of these domains next week again for this client.
