    Default Migration Question

Is there any way to migrate a site users site from their user account to another user account?

Meaning, is not the server admin and the server admin does not offer migration?

I have a user who is leaving for another host and want to help them move their stuff, however, their new host does not offer migration (stupid)...

Would making a site backup from the userpanel, then importing that to the new host work??

    Thanks in advance...

Note that a full site backup can only be restored by the root user of the server. As a result, you would be unable to restore a full site backup yourself.

You could download the home directory backup, database backup, email forwarders backup and email filters backup and then restore them to the new server. However, any settings in the cPanel interface from the old hosting provider (such as the order of the feature blocks on the main page of the cPanel interface) would not be transferred to the new hosting provider. However, you can restore these backups yourself and typically this contains the majority of what you wish to transfer anyway. However, it's not as convenient as simply sending one file to your hosting provider to have them restore.
