    Default RAID1 Mount Problem

    Have a server configured with RAID1 in my hand, what to do I could not mount it. Cpanel installed 3 days I could not.

    Disk /dev/sda: 1500.3 GB, 1500301910016 bytes
    255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 182401 cylinders
    Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

    Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
    /dev/sda1 1 487 3911796 fd Linux raid autodetect
    /dev/sda2 488 731 1959930 82 Linux swap / Solaris
    /dev/sda3 732 182401 1459264275 fd Linux raid autodetect

    Disk /dev/sdb: 1500.3 GB, 1500301910016 bytes
    255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 182401 cylinders
    Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

    Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
    /dev/sdb1 1 487 3911796 fd Linux raid autodetect
    /dev/sdb2 488 731 1959930 82 Linux swap / Solaris
    /dev/sdb3 732 182401 1459264275 fd Linux raid autodetect

    Disk /dev/md1: 4005 MB, 4005560320 bytes
    2 heads, 4 sectors/track, 977920 cylinders
    Units = cylinders of 8 * 512 = 4096 bytes

    Disk /dev/md1 doesn't contain a valid partition table

    Disk /dev/md3: 1494.2 GB, 1494286532608 bytes
    2 heads, 4 sectors/track, 364816048 cylinders
    Units = cylinders of 8 * 512 = 4096 bytes

    Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
    /dev/md3p1 1 364816048 1459264190 83 Linux

    Building in this way I need to mount md3, toll free, or there can help?

    Default Re: RAID1 Mount Problem

    If you haven't already, you need to format md3 as any other Linux partition with a filesystem (ext3) before you can mount it. Use mkfs.ext3 /dev/md3 to create your filesystem and then you should be able to mount it. Do NOT do this if you have already created a filesystem (and files) on this RAID device.

    If this is already done, what happens when you try to manually mount md3?

    Also, what does mdadm --detail /dev/md3 say?
