rebuilding a server form backups on new hardware

Hi,

Is there a tutorial or post somewhere that has the steps to build an entire server from backups? Of course I would OS and install cpanel on the new machine and I have full server backups on a 1tb USB drive which I can mount on the new machine. So I want to rebuild the entire server from that on new hardware. Any good tutorials out there? There are about 150 sites on the server so something that mass imports would be better than one account at a time if it exists.
