Would you recommend making backups using WinSCP

I am looking for a way to do offline backups of my VPS to a Windows
workstation. In my quest I noticed that WinSCP can do unattended file
copies, and have autoresume. So, what do you think of using this tool?

I use it all the time and it works fine. Speed can be an issue depending on your connection.

I'd take a look at using rsync using cygwin (there's even a cwrsync). Better bandwidth utilization using rsync...
