2 different passwords for an account?!

Hi, i changed the password for one of my accounts. This change was succesful when attemting to log into cpanel/webmail.

The strange thing is that the old password is still valid when logging via ftp. So, i can ftp to this account using the old and the new password.

How can this be posible? Do i did something wrong? I reseted the password using the cpanel account and then via whm but still have the same problem. The account that im using is the default one.

Try running 'Synchronize FTP Passwords' from WHM. This should solve the problem..

I have the same issue, but no access to WHM. Is there another way to synch up the passwords?

Nope, contact your webhost and ask them to resync their ftp passwords.
