    Default 2082 or 2083??

Up to now I have used
https://theirsite.com:2083 to get to a users cpanel.

Now my webhost manager has started showing links to accounts like
    https://user:@theirsite.com:2082
    in the "list accounts" page,
    which doesn't work.

Why would whm switch to 2082? How can I reset it to 2083?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but:
    2082 - NON-secure
    2083 - secure

    i.e.:

    http://site:2082/
    https://site:2083/

At least, that's how it works for me. :-)

Same thing is true for webmail - http:2095, https:2096, and IIRC, WHM is http:2086 https:2087, but I might be pulling that from my [censored]... :-)

What you say is right but I think he is saying that WHM itself is reporting the address wrong.

http://user:@theirsite.com:2082 would work but https://user:@theirsite.com:2082 would not. I don't know why WHM would 'report' something like that. Sounds like a bug.

Right, 2082 on https won't work and 2083 on http too. So 2082 works only on https and 2083 on https.

Yeah, now that I read it again, I think you're right

http://user:@theirsite.com:2082 would work but https://user:@theirsite.com:2082 would not. I don't know why WHM would 'report' something like that. Sounds like a bug.
Definately sounds odd. Just checked my list of accounts, and it's all working fine.

    Version WHM 8.5.1 cPanel 8.5.3-S3, RedHat 7.3 - WHM X v2.1.1

    Default 2082

    Thanks you guys;

WHM IS giving the link as
    http://them:@thiersite.com:2082

That port was closed on my firewall and opening it up let it through.

However, I'm sure at one time the link was
    https://them:@thiersite.com:2083
becuse we've used that link. ?
