Exclamation 3 Days and no response from cPanel on ticket: 96233

I have a ticket into cpanel for days and it is not being worked on.

I have two accounts that I have backed up from another server. I moved the backup files to the home directory of a new server, and I am trying to restore them, however I keep getting the following errors:

Quote:
User XXXXX added
Changing password for XXXXX
Changing password for XXXXX
Changing password for XXXXX
Password for jbserve has been changed
Keeping Shell Access (y)
Jail Shell Enabled
Changing shell for jbserve.
Shell *NOT* changed. Try again later.

Could not create /home/XXXXX /mail/inbox: No such file or directory
Name Virtual Host already exists
mod_userdir protection enabled
php open_basedir protection enabled
Added Entries to httpd.conf (noip)
Bind reconfiguring on constellation using rndc
Added Named File
Restarting apache
Ftp Password Files synced
The cPanel Users File does not exist: /var/cpanel/users/XXXXX
The cPanel Users File does not exist: /var/cpanel/users/XXXXX
send to CONTACTEMAIL (3) [3]
wwwacct creation finished

and then continue and stop with:

Security violation.... (homedir [/home/XXXXX ] does not exist)

What could be the problem, I moved 20 other acocunts over right before these two without any problem.

Not 100% sure, but by looking at what you put, it looks like there is a space after name

See after the X's?
/home/XXXXX /mail
and here
[/home/XXXXX ]

The system cannot create names with spaces, especially at the end of a name.

Dont you need to firstly create the new account within WHM and then install from the backup file ?
Why didnt you just do a straight transfer, as its really simple and straight forward ?

Th transfer using whm failed to create the databases and move the files. There is some problem with that. I have had to just create backups and restore account. If there is a backup file in the home directory, and you go into whm and choose to restore an backup from home directory, it will recreate that account new. All you have to do is choose the file you want from the list it give you. I did that, and it is not a space in the name issue. the server finds the files just fine, and attempts to restore it, but it hoses something up and cuases apache to stop until you go back in and remove the httpd conf file entry for the account.

It only happened on these two account out of 20+ I did the exact same way and at the exact same time. I even created all new backups to try it with, and got the same error. And I also made sure both server had the same version of cpanel installed just in case that might have done it.
