Unhappy 500 error after ZendOpt update script run from shell

I updated Zend opt from the scripts directory as per a thread on these forums, used all the default values and now I get Internal Server errors whenever I try and access a page - CPanel and WHM are still working though.

Tried restarting apache, tried updating apache from WHM, I'm now rolling Cpanel back to stable to see if that fixes the problem. Anyone have any ideas?

I think php is broken, I just don't know where to start.

    Thanks.

Rolling back cPanel/WHM won't make a difference as the version has nothing to do with your apache/php version. I would suggest that you:

    /scripts/updatenow

Then rebuild apache/whm and select php v4.3.10 (deselect phpsuexec if you didn't have it before)

Then resintall zend optimizer and check that it is installing v2.5.7:

    /scripts/installzendopt

Due to legal issues with Zend you can no longer use the installzend script.

You will have to manually update or install ZEND.

Best bet on obtaining a download is to go to the ZEND site: http://www.zend.com/

This other thread has some more information regarding this issue.
