554 #5.5.4 Relaying denied

A client on a dedicated server is receiving this error returned mail below. I have not setup reverse dns and will not do so unless someone clairfies it necessary. I have did an SMTP check on the outgong and receiving emails, no problems there. I tried searching the forums for '554 Relaying denied' and got nothing unfortunately so I am posting this here.

AOL & RR are owned by one & the same Time warner since AOL rquires a reverse ptr to send them mail I would asume RR requires it also

If I am not mistaken RR blocks remote SMPT on port 25

I am positive AOL does

What about this one? Do you think this is a reverse dns required resolution or actual spam block? Just curious because only two people complained while there are over 100+ on the server. They reported (the two) about 3 days ago. No one else has reported such a problem yet.
