    Default 6.4.2-S75 and NO web-based email

    WHM 6.4.2 Cpanel 6.4.2-S75 RedHat 8.0

    we done a cpanel update last night...seem to go well...no errors noted

    clients that check there email via the webmail system are not able to login

    either with
    SquirrelMail version 1.4.0
    Horde and
    neomail

    but....................accounts can login via outlook with no problem

    these are existing accounts that have been usable for months now

    anyone seen this or maybe can point me in the right direction

    Nope, 6.4.2-S75 works fine with web based account here.

    update: loggin in with the main domain account works fine

    its logging into the sub-email accounts

    Did you restart cpanel after upgrade?

    I.e. /etc/rc.d/init.d/cpanel3 restart

    That could help.

    Did you restart cpanel after upgrade?
    yes...we done that...we are about to reboot the server...people are getting antsy...id there a way to downgrade cpanel back to where it was ?

    Could it be a php problem? Does the e-mail problem directly coincide with the upgrade of cPanel? I had a problem with e-mail (webmail) for a few days after running buildapache. Once I repaired php, all was well. If it is directly related to the upgrade of cPanel, I would suggest upgrading again, this time to release or edge. I have been running edge versions for the past 2 months with absolutely no problems.

    I am having a similar problem. I updated to the edge version of CPanel on my providers recomendation...everything works fine except the Horde login. It will let me log into Squirrelmail and Neomail and the main Horde program and I can see my tasks and notes, but now there is a link in the mail section -- "Log in to Mail" -- When I click on the link and enter my info, I get a username or password error. I tried it with all of my accounts and a new account I just created....same thing.

    WHM 7.0.5 cPanel 7.1.0-E2
    RedHat 8.0 - WHM X v2.1

    I guess that's a bug under rh 8.. hope it will be fixed soon.
