    Default access.log raw file - how to enable resolve hostname?

    Hi - is there a way, using cpanel, to enable Apache to resolve hostnames in the access.log file? I have this enabled in my personal Apache 2.0 machine but don't know to do it with my new hosting provider (peoplehost on Apache 1.3.33).

    You would have to enable it in httpd.conf by changing HostnameLookups to On. Bear ind mind that this can increase the load on your server, sometimes significantly.

    my server seems to do this anyway /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf having this value set to off how can I turn it off?
