accessing phpmyadmin through direct link - but not user

howdy folks,

i have a user that has added several mysql users. now, those mysql users need to access the database alloted to them. with phpmyadmin at:

https://domain.com:2083/3rdparty/phpMyAdmin/index.php

only the maina ccount user id can access it.

how can the mysql users access phpmyadmin to administrate their 1 db?

Short Answer: Only the account owner can access phpMyAdmin as that is a 3rd party add-on feature to Cpanel.

What they need is a specific type of database program that allows them to connect to a specific database. Used to know of one (cost US $300.00 though), but cannot remember the name of it.

Or, you could install PHPMyAdmin in an alternate directory, and add this to httpd.conf:

Alias /phpmyadmin /path/to/thenew/install/

Then any domain can access phpmyadmin directly via domain.com/phpmyadmin

The only issue with this is that it could present a bit of a security problem. But that does allow access outside of CPanel.

however then how would each individual user access it?
I know through /phpmyadmin
However what username and password do they use?
