i found that there was no proftpd.conf file so I copied and renamed proftpd.conf,v to proftpd.conf and it fixed my issue! ... very odd bug!

i'll try going back to C75 and see if it works now with the proftpd.conf file in there.

hope this resolves the issue for some of you folks!

Well I have that file so it is not missing. Does anyone have this issue when they have the proftp.conf file?

    Hello,

Same issue here with 10.9.0-RELEASE_76 and Current_75 on Centos 4.

    Any suggestion would be welcome.

    Thanks,

    Maxime

Here is what fixed it for me:

    1) Log in to WHM and click on "FTP Configuration"
    2) Switch to ProFTPd (if you are already using ProFTPd switch to PureFTP, then switch back to ProFTPd)

The problem did only affect my servers if they had PureFTP installed...strange but going to ProFTPd solved the problem.

    touch /etc/profptd.conf
    cp /etc/proftpd.conf.rpmsave /etc/proftpd.conf
