Which version of cpanel are you using? I seem to recall a bug related to what you posted being fixed in a recent release.

Update to CURRENT 75. If that does work, please open a ticket so we can take a look at it. Thank you.

Default Any help on this one?

I have been getting the same error since the 19th.
I have not been able to add new accounts.

    WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.9.0-C75
    Fedora i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

Is it possible to "roll back" cPanel to an earlier version?

I am using the "Current Tree". Would switching to the "Stable" or "Release" trees help?

Have you tried doing /scripts/upcp --force
We are running C75 without any problems

    Default ..same here

i was experiencing the same issue. was running C75 then upcp'd to R76, but still the problem persisted.
i found that there was no proftpd.conf file so I copied and renamed proftpd.conf,v to proftpd.conf and it fixed my issue! ... very odd bug!

i'll try going back to C75 and see if it works now with the proftpd.conf file in there.

hope this resolves the issue for some of you folks!
