account creation stuck to Copying skel files from /root/cpanel3-skel/ to /home/*

Hi,

I am not able to create new account in WHM and the process get stuck at

Copying skel files from /root/cpanel3-skel/ to /home/*someuseraccount*

The passw and group in /etc are created with the username but and files are copied to the /home/username and can be access to /~username/ but the process never ends.

I am running WHM 11.15.0 cPanel 11.18.6-S24255

ensure files exist within /root/cpanel3-skel/ and are all readable.

They are indeed created and permission are 755 root:root in /root/cpanel-skel

then im at a loss, sorry. maybe dbl chk all files recursively in that folder? also, do you get any errors show up in your error logs? might have a clue there somewhere ...

will it create accounts normaly with no files added to /root/cpanel3-skel/public_html ?

Update -

I've force a cp update to the Current tree and then make a Graceful Server Reboot because I had like 50 processes for quota update stuck for a few hours. This is a good thing since I had ConfigServer running their magic a few days ago.

I am now using WHM 11.23.0 cPanel 11.23.1-C24654 and seems to be fine to run about 324 accounts.

Did /scripts/upcp --force to resolve the issue.

I tried /scripts/upcp --force also, it runs fine. I rebooted, and still freezes on copying

I tried forcing a cpanel update in whm instead of ssh. Still does not fix problem. My host can jus reset my VPS, but I'm afraid of it happening again after I take the time to load all my sites on there.

Here's a few things to check:

- Ensure the permissions are good to allow the root user to read these files in the skeleton directory

- Check /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log when this issue arises for clues as to what may be causing this issue
