    Default account lookup tool

I'm looking at programming an account lookup tool for WHM but wanted to check and see if something all ready existed before spending time on it,

Say you have multiple cPanel servers and want an easy way to find out which user/domain is on which server. I want a search tool that I can plug a domain name, username or other info in that will then search all of my cPanel servers and return matches.

    Does such a tool exist?

I believe the third-party utility WhmAdmin offers this functionality: http://www.whmadmin.com/screenshots.html

Does that thing even work anymore? It seems very old, and I haven't been able to find much info on it post 2006. There also doesn't seem to be a demo to try before buying.

Well the functionality you mention would rely on information that is readily available via the XML-API in the listaccts call. Your script would just need to keep track of which server each list of accounts is coming from and handle that data in a matter you desire.

I know you can get a list of the accounts by appending /xml-api/listaccts?searchtype=user&search= to the end of the WHM URL, but how do I pull this information either locally on the server or from a remote server?

    Locally:

    https://localhost:2087/xml-api/lista...e=user&search=

    Remotely:

    https://RemoteHost:2087/xml-api/list...e=user&search=

Where RemoteHost is the IP, hostname or domain of any account hosted on that server. Be sure to adjust your authentication credentials (user/pass or user/hash) accordingly for each server you're connecting to.

Just wanted to let you know that the WHMAdmin is still alive and well. It's been going strong for 4 years now. We continually update it and it has even more features now than when it was first introduced.

Yep whmadmin is a great tool, I need to get it installed again. It has saved days worth of time.
