account transfer problem - express transfer did a nice job of forwarding DNS for most accounts

One still has the old ip
Ive flushed DNS and checked it from many hosts including ones on other continents
Ive compared the Edit DNS page from a successfully transferred account to this problem account and they look the same

Where else should I look for differences ?

Are you willing to share the domain name and the IP it should have with us for us to check it? You may still simply be cached.

What I am thinking might have happened is the domain isn't pointing to your nameservers at the domain registrar for that domain as the most likely cause. You can see the domain's nameservers setting by issuing this command in root SSH on a Linux or FreeBSD machine:

    Code:
    whois domain.com
Where domain.com is the domain name in question. If the domain is using nameservers that your machine does not control, then changing the IP will not end up taking effect on your server(s).

    thanks tristan
The biggest problem I had was failing to check the express transfer option - that and the cached results was causing some real frustration

It would be helpful if the scripts\xtransfer script was better documented but thats a different issue
