    Default Add an A Record?

    So I am setting up an IRC on a seperate server so it doesn't affect my main server if it overloads.

    My domain name is hosted on Yahoo! Domains, but the nameservers are pointing to my main server.

    Now if I created a sub-domain, say:
    irc.domainname.com

    Would I create the A Record in my Yahoo! Control Panel or in WHM?

    well... if your domain is pointing to your nameservers, then you can create it on your WHM.

    test it with www.dnsstuff.com

    How would I do that with WHM? I can't find one for A Records..

    login to whm, go to DNS Functions -> Edit DNS Zone, select the zone you wish... and add the A record. You should be able to understand how to add it.
