adding an index.html page in Skeleton Directory

This directory is what will be used as a skeleton for new accounts. For example if you place an index.html file in /root/cpanel3-skel/public_html, and then setup a new account, that account will have a copy of your index.html in their public_html directory.

The question is very simple...

How can i addthe index.html page ...? where can do that...?

A couple ways:

Create the file on your computer, connect to server in SSH as root, cd into /root/cpanel3-skel/public_html. Create a document called index.html in your favorite editor, paste in the html source text from the file on your computer.

or,

Create the file on your computer; connect by FTP and "put" the file onto the server. Connect by SSH, cd into the directory where the file was "put". Move the file to /root/cpanel3-skel/public_html as index.html.

Don't know what your "favorite text editor" for the command line is? Do some research on: vi or pico. vi is very powerful but not so user friendly; pico does the job and gives users a shortcut menu at the bottom.
