Default Adding mod_rewite to Apache build

I need to have mod_rewrite installed and I cannot see any option in easyapache. How can I load other apache modules into the build. I asked my hosting provider if they could help. they claim that they have installed mod_rewrite but it doesn't show anywhere that it is installed in the build. It should show up in phpinfo call shouldn't it?
I would be grateful for any advise.
    System Config
    OS CentOS 4.7
    WHM - 11.24.2
    Apache/2.2.11 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.11 OpenSSL/0.9.7a mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635
    PHP 5.2.9

mod_rewrite is always built into any Apache built by EasyApache in cPanel/WHM 11.24.

It may not always show up on pages that list installed Apache modules due to the way we install mod_rewrite capabilities.

    Thumbs up Thanks

Thanks for that I thought it was strange if it was not at least an option.

    Hi,

    I built apache 2.2.11 with php 4 and 5 , and php4 is default.
I need mod_rewrite option, but that was not installed.

mod_rewrite is not listed in EasyApache because this functionality is always installed when you compile Apache via EasyApache.

Due to the way we implement this functionality, if you are using ifmod statements to detect mod_rewrite, they may incorrectly state this functionality is not present on your server when it is actually there and ready to be used.
