    Default Adding SSH users?

    Hi,

I'd like to add some ssh users to a domain.. I can easily add them from the CLI.. But how can I gear their permissions such that they share the same rights as the owner of the domain account?

    Thanks
    David

    Howdy,

This isn't a supported configuration within cPanel.

That being said I think you can get away with creating a group and adding all of the users to that group. Set the home paths in the /etc/passwd to be inside the folder you'd like and make sure they have a home directory of their own where ever you end up putting them. For configuration files and such, no one likes to share a vim config with someone else.

Thanks Eric.. So should I create a new group for them? I see in /etc/group that there is a group of each account.. I.e. I have an account xyx in whm.. And I see a group whm.. Should I add them to that group?

    Thanks

I would just add the other users to xyz's group and chgrp a folder where the other users can work and make changes.

    Thanks!
