Adding a web server to the cluster

Im in the process of trying to replicate the webserver side of a cpanel server, so i can have 2 servers running, with the second just acting as the webserver to reduce load on server1.

Basically i need to replicate apache and php setup. In a normal environment, that would be easy, httpd.conf and php.ini - in cpanel it seems to involve a thousand different files?

Im sure im not the first person to do this, so instead of reading hours of documentation on how brilliant cpanel is at splitting one config file into a thousand different ones... i was hoping someone could just give me the list they use when adding a web server to their cluster?

Dont get me wrong, ive been a cpanel fan since 2001, its just... well ... u know what i mean
