    Default ADDITIONAL file extensions blocked.

    We have a couple of customers that would like some to block attachments with particular extensions (.avi, pps)in addition to the found in antivirus.exim. However, we would like to make it specific and applicable only to these domains and not global to everybody.
    Where would these changes should go to apply only to these particular domains?

    Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    TIA

    Dear jagarcia,

    You can add the following lines in exim.conf for blocking file extensions.

    deny message = Found blacklisted file attachment demime = :avi:pps:dat:com:bat:pif:prf:lnk
    domain=particulardomain.com

    Isn't it the exim.conf file that keeps getting overwritten everytime exim gets updated? So, you have to remember to re-do this every so often? Or I suppose you could chattr +i exim.conf -- not sure what the ramifications of doing that are, when exim gets upgraded.
