Additional FTP accounts don't work anymore

hi all.
additional ftp accounts which my clients have created don't work anymore.
I've tested it, login is correct (..@domain.tld) and I changed the password several times, but error message is still incorrect login.
I switched from pure ftp to pro ftp and back, no results.
I ran synchronize FTP passwords, no results either.

the same problem appear on all boxes I have. They run all 8.8.0-R61.

any ideas?

It usually works when I tried switch to ProFTP and back to PureFTP.

Try updating to Edge then back to Release.

what exactly is the error ?

did you try from server,

ftp localhost ?

any clue in /var/log/messages ?

I try somethings and i got a solution for this error, follow this steps:

If you are using proftpd, change to pure-ftpd in WHM.

/etc/init.d/pure-ftpd stop
wget http://updates.cpanel.net/ftpservers...panel.i386.rpm
rpm -e pure-ftpd-1.0.12-26cpanel
rpm -ivh pure-ftpd-1.0.12-26cpanel.i386.rpm
/scripts/ftpupdate

If some virtual ftp account dont work, just delete it and make it again, will work well.

I hope this help everybody in the same error condition.

In WHM, adjust update to Releases Automatic.

SSH to server:

/scripts/upcp

And try my solution above again.
