Default Addon Domain Problem - Serveralias not added to httpd.conf

    Hi,

I am having a problem with my Cpanel/WHM installation.

Several customers had complained that when they add an addon domain it doesnt work properly and doesnt show in the cpanel section for addon domains. They also advised that the ones that do work point to the apache test page I set up on the shared IP addresses.....

On looking into it I found the all the addon domains they tried to create were in the httpd.conf file but there was no ServerAlias entries for each addon domain....After manually adding them then everything was fine.

Is this a bug in WHM or can anyone shed any light as to what the possible cause of this problem is as its giving me a headache right now !!

    Default Betcha 50 bucks!!!

You guys having a similar problem to what i'm having. Whm doesn't edit my httpd.conf file either correctly. I bet when you added that alias whm created ANOTHER virtual host directive for the same domain that was parked on top of at the BOTTOM of httpd.conf - creating two virtualhosts for the same domain. I have this problem adding domains, adding new accounts, or changing a site's ip address.
