Hi, we have a domain named "hellohenry.co.uk" registered and hosted with uk2.net . We have another two domains pointsetdigital.com and webcamstore.net registered and hosted with 4uhosting.co.uk.
From cPanel of UK2.net hosting, we added the two domains pointsetdigital.com and webcamstore.net as Add-on domains. And we changed the nameservers of these last two domains to ultra103.uk2.net and ultra104.uk2.net so that these domains point to two folders on uk2.net hosting. But it did not work out and uk2.net are saying that we should not change nameserver, instead we should change the A-record of these two domains to the IP of hellohenry.co.uk (on uk2.net) i.e. 77.92.79.1. When we asked 4uhosting.co.uk to change the A-record, they said the instruction is wrong, A-record can not be changed, we should go to change nameserver.
As you can see , we found ourself in a situation where we can not move anywhere. The last reply that we got for uk2.net is as follows,
We moved forward to add the two domains on uk2.net in this process is because of the nice feature like "Add-on domains" is present on cPanel. But it seems that it has no use if the company who use it does not provide the feature in its fullness to the customer. But I am not still sure about who is right or wrong or what to do next.Hi,
We seemed to confuse each other in this ticket.
UK2 DNS names can only be used for the domains that are hosted with UK2.
If it comes to pointsetdigital.com - this domain is not listed in UK2 system, so there's no DNS-zone for it in our DNS-cluster.
Therefore, you need either sign up for HOSTING with Uk2 for this domain OR roll your DNS nameservers back to the previous ones and ask your previous DNS-zone holder to change "A record" to 77.92.79.1.
Thank you.
Regards,

My question is if a domain is not registered with a hosting company "A", then can cPanel software, installed on "A"'s server , allow the user to add that domain as "Addon" domain?
Also any suggestion about what to do next will be very helpful though it might seemed to be out of context of cPanel.
