addon domains and parked domains

Hi,

Since I did not see anything regarding addon domains and park int the documentation at www.cpanel.net (docs are for cpanel4 not 5), I turn to you all ...

I am trying to add a second domain for an existing site. When I use the parked domains or the addon domains I get this error telling me the domain name has name servers elsewhere.

It seems weird that cpanel would not allow me to add a second domain to a site without first changing the name servers to the new box (essentially taking it off line).

Does anyone here know where I may be going wrong?

late comer on this thread. Since I am setup as a reseller, I can't tweak server...is this correct or am I just missing something here? I assume tweaking te server would be a WHM function...correct?
